Job Summary
A manufacturing facility is looking for a hands-on Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead efficiency, quality, and safety improvements across production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes and identify improvement opportunities on the floor
- Use CAD tools to optimize layouts and material flow
- Conduct time studies, work sampling, and line balancing
- Lead daily improvement routines and track KPIs
- Drive root-cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone, and A3
- Develop standard work, visual controls, and documentation
- Build dashboards and reports (Excel, Tableau)
- Support 5S, safety, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Train teams on continuous improvement methods
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or industrial engineering in manufacturing
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Experience in an industrial environment is preferred (mixing/compounding is a plus)
- Proficiency in Excel and CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working directly on the production floor
